Arizona National Parks:
Fort Bowie National Historic Site is located in Bowie, AZ and was referred by the Spaniards as Puerto del Dado, the Pass of Chance. This pass separates the Chiricahua and Dos Cabezas mountains and drew emigrants, prospectors, and soldiers to this Apache homeland. This is the site the Bascom Affair of 1861 and the Battle of Apache Pass in 1862.
