Carlsbad National Park is in the Chihuahuan Desert of the Guadalupe Mountains. The caverns have gigantic subterranean chambers, fantastic cave formations, and extraordinary features. Watching the mass exodus of thousands of Mexican free-tailed bats at dusk is a site to behold. For us, an even more impressive bat experience, is in the wee hours of the morning. Your ears are the first of your senses to experience the bats returning to the cavern.





White Sands National Monument is nestled in the Tularosa basin the Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico. The white sand is beautiful and never gets hot. This is the largest gypsum dunefield in the world.



Petroglyph National Monument located in West Mesa of the Rio Grande Valley in Albuquerque, New Mexico, contain over 24,000 images pecked into stone.


Bandelier National Monument is located near Los Alamos in New Mexico. This is a site where ancestral Pueblo People once lived.



Pecos National Historic Park located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Glorieta Mesa in Pecos, New Mexico. This is a place where hunters, gatherers, traders, conquerors, explorers, immigrants, soldiers, ranchers, and tourists passed.
